Suspected drugs and a gun found: Clemens Road
An officer at 11 a.m. May 22 stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation after it had left the Red Roof Inn on Clemens.
The female driver and her male passenger said that they did not have identification with them. The passenger, a 31-year-old Eastlake resident, soon admitted that he had a felony warrant for a probation violation and therefore tried to hide his identity, according to police.
The driver, a 35-year-old woman from Geneva, had a felony warrant in connection with dangerous drugs.
A search revealed a loaded revolver in the car. Officers searched an associated room at the Red Roof Inn and recovered ammunition, suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia, according to police.
Officers arrested the passenger and took him to the Cuyahoga County Jail. Evidence will be presented to the county grand jury, which will determine whether additional charges are filed.
